The Aquarian Teacher, Level 1 Teacher Training – KRI Certification Program
KRI Level 1 Teacher Training course fulfills the Yoga Alliance’s 200-hour national standard for a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT). With your KRI certification, you can apply for and receive a Yoga Alliance accreditation.
220-hour course includes:
180 hours of classroom instructions
40 hours of yoga, meditation, and assigned reading outside of class
Morning Sadhanas (early morning yoga and meditation practice); attendance at a minimum of 5 is required. Sadhana is offered every Sunday during the Teacher Training weekends from 5:00AM-7:30AM.
Also required but not included in 220 hours:
Written exam and homework
Attendance of a one-day White Tantric Yoga course (www.whitetantricyoga.com); Fee for attending White Tantric Yoga not included in course fee
Participation in a minimum of 5 full morning group Sadhanas
20 hours of Kundalini Yoga classes taught by KRI Certified Teachers (20 hours of Kundalini Yoga classes not included in course fee). O’Shea Yoga will be offering a discounted class rate of $10 per class for those students participating in the Teacher Training who need to fulfill the required 20 hours.

The Awakening & The Conscious Human Being – consciousness, the self-sensory system, spiritual development, becoming yourself
Yogic Philosophy – what is yoga & history of yoga, the Aquarian Age, Kundalini Yoga and its origins
Kriya, Pranayama & Meditation in Kundalini Yoga – asanas, form & alignment, mudra & bandha, warm-ups & relaxation, pranayama – natural breath and controlled breathing, meditation – techniques & specific applications
The Mind – characteristics of the mind, the three minds, cycle of the intellect, cosmic law of manifestation, navigating the inner space
Sound & Mantra – chanting, varieties, applications, and effects of mantra & sound, science of naad yoga, the quantum technology of the shabd guru
Functional Western Anatomy – systems of the body & the effects of yoga
Being a Kundalini Yoga Teacher – identity, the spiritual teacher, roles & responsibilities, Yogi Bhajan, the Golden Chain, challenges, creating a class, choosing and combining teachings for teaching
Yogic Lifestyle & Humanology – habits, breaking unhealthy and cultivating healthy habits, yogic diet, cycles of life, shakti & bhakti, identity, relationships, life and death
Practicums – teaching kriyas and meditations in class settings, analysis, and feedback
The goal of the KRI Aquarian Teacher Kundalini Yoga Level One Teacher Training Program is for Students to:
1. Gain a sound understanding of the fundamental nature, technologies, and concepts of Kundalini Yoga.
2. Have a transformational experience through the practice of these teachings.
3. Develop the skills, confidence, and consciousness required to teach Kundalini Yoga
4. Develop a lifestyle of consciousness
5. Develop a bond with other students, local teachers, and the International 3HO community.
6. Develop a link into the Golden Chain

O’Shea Yoga is located in the heart of Wyckoff with many wonderful restaurants, parks and shops within walking distance.

Food & Beverages:
Yogi Tea, filtered water and light snacks will be provided during Teacher Training weekends. A light healthy breakfast will be served after Sadhana on Sunday mornings. Please feel free to bring your own snacks or meals, but keep in mind that there is limited refrigeration for storage available. There are many restaurants and cafes within walking distance of our studio.
Accommodations:
No overnight spaces are available at the studio for our students from out of town, but you will find many hotels and Airbnb in the area.
