Meet Our Specialists at O’Shea Yoga
Bio: Tara Farley is a Meridian Massage Therapist, Reflexologist, and Qi Energy Healer. Tara has been studying body work and Chinese Medicine for over 20yrs. Tara’s goal in her work is to encourage the body to function from a place of balance through pressure points, stretching, massage, and energy work. She looks at the external body as a guide for the internal organs. For instance from a Chinese Medicine point of view tennis elbow could come from an intestinal weakness, knee issues could be related to excess stomach acid, hip problems could come from a sluggish gallbladder. The bodywork that Tara practices looks deeply into organ balance, understanding the emotions of the body, and the amount of stress a person is currently under. Tara works with all health issues and ages. Her bodywork supports and influences her teaching of Qigong and Kundalini Yoga. She is excited to bring her work to O’Shea Yoga. Her work includes but is not limited helping those with: Pain and joint weakness, Muscle fatigue, Cancer, Autoimmune disease, Lung diseases, Trauma injuries, Nerve weaknesses, Digestive imbalances in adults & kids, Hormonal and fertility imbalances, Anxiety & depression in adults and kids, Allergies & Asthma, Chronic Stress & fatigue, Migraines, Nervous Tics in children, Lymes and arthritis.
Linda McLachlan, MA, RDN
Bio: Linda is a Registered Dietitian-Nutritionist and has a Masters degree in Nutrition Education. She is certified in Adult and Adolescent Weight Management and is also a Certified Advanced Practitioner of Integrative and Functional Medical Nutrition Therapy. For nearly 20 years, Linda has been helping people find creative ways to integrate healthier habits into their busy lives.
Linda practices Integrative and Functional Medical Nutrition Therapy (IFMNT) to promote optimal health, which is an approach that looks deeper at your unique biochemistry and genetic profile to identify your nutritional needs. She has always been fascinated with how different the body can function based on the foods we choose to eat. From her experience over the years, she’s learned how food not only provides calories, but it also provides information that speaks to your individual biochemistry and has a direct effect on whether you end up with disease in your body or not. In fact, one person can absorb and utilize a nutrient completely different from the next person and many common subtle ailments are often early signs of a nutritional imbalance that over time can lead to disease. She helps with all health conditions such as gut imbalances, autoimmune, hormone balance, diabetes, cardiac health and many others. Linda’s assessment will translate this science directly to your plate with specific foods and recipe strategies so you can easily implement the nutrition protocols at home. She also offers several Catered Nutritional Cleanse programs to assist you with getting the healing foods you need onto your table with ease.
Linda believes that in many cases, food can be your medicine, but being well nourished is about more than the foods we eat. It’s also about how we nourish not only our body but our mind and spirit as well. Linda is honored to bring nutritional support services to O’Shea Yoga and feels grateful to share her passion of healing foods with this community.
Bio: Fran has always believed in the body’s ability to reach optimal health. With a passion for continuing education and an open mind for many approaches to healthcare, she has studied many types of yoga and QiGong. In 2006, she found her calling upon completing training for craniosacral therapy through the Upledger Institute. This therapy involves a delicate touch to release restrictions in the body, thereby allowing proper rhythm to be restored to the system. The goal is to restore overall better health and increased resistance to disease by tapping into the body’s ability to heal. Fran feels honored to be able to bring this therapy to O’Shea Yoga.
CranioSacral Therapy (CST) is a gentle hands on approach that releases tensions in the body to relieve pain and dysfunction and improve whole-body health. Using a soft touch, restrictions in the soft tissues that surround the central nervous system are released. CST is also used as a preventative health measure for its ability to bolster resistance to disease. It is effective for a wide range of medical problems. The following are conditions that she treats in individuals 18 years of age and over: Stress and tension, Chronic fatigue, Migraines/headaches, Dizziness/vertigo, Sinus problems, Allergies, Chronic neck and back pain, Immune disorders, Fibromyalgia, TMJ (temporomandibular joint dysfunction), Menopausal symptoms and Preventative health and maintaining well being.

Bio:For as long as she can remember, Amy has been drawn to all things spiritual and metaphysical. Guided by a deep faith in the Divine, she is acutely aware of the power behind the forces that cannot be seen but affect us profoundly. Life without spiritual understanding, especially when we find ourselves in pain or loss, in a job or relationship that doesn’t serve, can be very difficult. The angels want you to know that you are not alone, you have never been alone and you never will be alone. They are waiting patiently for you to open up to their Divine guidance.
In an Angel Card reading, Amy connects with your angels and guides, providing you with an opportunity to receive and benefit from their loving assistance, and often life changing guidance! A reading is a safe, peaceful experience filled with love that will inspire, uplift and make you feel deeply understood for perhaps the first time in your life.
“When the student is ready, the teacher will appear.” In December 2013, Amy was gifted a deck of Angel Cards from her Intuitive Development teacher and friend, Joan Donohue, whom she’d studied under for several years. Amy recalls never leaving her home that first day with her cards! The information coming through was immediately so comforting, accurate and insightful she just couldn’t put them down. There’s been no turning back – since then Amy has been reading cards privately and for small groups as well as studying Usai Reiki under Reiki Master Karen Noe, and expects to complete her Restorative Yoga Training this April. Amy feels blessed and grateful to be part of the O’Shea Yoga community!
To schedule an appointment with Amy, please email her at firstname.lastname@example.org or call or text her at 201-637-6110.
Suzanne Andora Barron
Bio: Suzanne Andora Barron is a Certified Jin Shin Jyutsu® Practitioner.
Jin Shin Jyutsu® (JSJ) is an ancient Japanese Art of harmonizing and balancing energy in the body. A powerful component to Western medicine, JSJ uses the hands and breath to release physical, mental and emotional blockages. It’s a simple, non-invasive, non-toxic way to alleviate and prevent stress, pain and illness.
During the 60-75 minute session, the client is fully clothed. Each session is customized and based on pulse listening (which highlights the area in the body that needs harmonizing), body reading and client requests. At the end of each session, Suzanne offers clients Self Help so they can continue to support their own well-being. Since receiving JSJ sessions herself, Suzanne no longer experiences seasonal allergy symptoms.
Suzanne has offered JSJ sessions at The Ronald McDonald House and The American Cancer Society’s HOPE LODGE in New York City to patients and their caregivers.
Suzanne is also a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) and teaches at Naturally Yoga in Glen Rock, Mount Carmel Church in Ridgewood and St. Joseph’s Hospital in Paterson.
