Meet Our Teachers
Owner of O’Shea Yoga
Bio: Tara Farley began her healing path through an amazing massage therapy training which incorporated the study of Qigong. Her teachers understood the long term effects of poor body mechanics, and emphasized the understanding that energy in the body needs to be circulated in order to not only heal your body but also that of the person you are working on. This knowledge has not only benefited Tara’s physical body, but her long term health as well.
Next, Tara discovered her home away from home, The Omega Institute for Holistic Studies in Rhinebeck NY. While there she completed a 200-hour Reflexology training as well as a Thai Massage Certification. Wanting to further explore her passion for alternative healing, Tara studied Chinese Medicine, Ayurveda, and completed a 350-hour Nutritional Counseling Training. It was at the Omega Institute where Tara was first exposed to the practice of yoga. She was initially introduced to Meridian Yoga, which immediately resonated with her as it is based on Chinese Medicine. From here she explored many different styles of yoga including Kundalini, Vinyasa, Prenatal, and Yoga for Children.
Tara’s education in Yoga, Qigong and Body Work has helped her overcome and find healing through many difficult life circumstances. She feels blessed to have found these practices as well as the network of supportive healers and mentors that she has met along the way. Tara is excited to share her incredible knowledge and healing with her students at O’Shea Yoga.
